Chemistry studies the nature of materials in terms of the structure and dynamics in atomic and molecular dimension. Students in this department are trained in research to elucidate molecular structure and dynamics of chemical reactions, to discover new synthetic reactions, and new chemical compounds and to analyze chemical processes in living organisms and on the earth.
